"Country of a thousand rivers" is the motto of the pavilion, where they have focused on promoting Guinea's biodiversity and its numerous water and fish resources, but also on the dialogue between generations for a common cause.
The Guinean pavilion is located in the "Opportunities" area at the Expo Dubai 2020 site. The event kicked off on 1 October in the emirate after being postponed the previous year due to the pandemic crisis caused by the new coronavirus.
Also known more familiarly in Guinea-Bissau as "Zinha", Francisca Vaz, the pavilion's commissioner, says that her team has been in Dubai since September to do everything possible to promote the country's image.
She says that the pavilion has been "much visited, much appreciated" and that they were inspired by "the main theme of the Expo which is 'Dreaming to build the future'".
"To connect the minds of the generations and build a better future, to unleash the potential that each individual or each community has so that they can be the actors of our future," Francisca Vaz summarised the venue's motto.
